Jen Phillips, Founder/CEO

Jen Phillips founded Red Light Public Relations in 2002, after several years as Entertainment Marketing Director of Puma USA. Her efforts at Puma successfully re-launched the brand in the US and created an ultimate fan base of Hollywood’s elite. Phillips works with top entertainment and fashion media, celebrity stylists, talent, and management organizations in Los Angeles and New York. She prides herself on maintaining an eclectic mix of high profile clientele.

Matt Ambrose, Showroom Director, NY

The pursuit of fashion drew this Buffalo native to the bustling streets of New York City where he has completed his Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Although Matt indulges in the finer things in life, he loves to spend his time at his favorite thrift shops and restaurants in Brooklyn. You’ll find this avid blogger and his trusty crew of interns alongside Jen Phillips in the New York Showroom.

Kayci Powell, Account Executive

Growing up in New York City’s borough of Staten Island, Kayci dreamed of moving to Manhattan and attending the Fashion Institute of Technology. Once that dream became a reality, the next step was finding her place within the fashion industry. It was during a summer internship in London that Kayci discovered her love of public relations and travel. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications and a minor in Italian, Kayci joins the Red Light team with much excitement and delight. In her free time, you can find Kayci reading up on the latest celebrity gossip and dining out at New York City’s multitude of restaurants.

Megan Puglisi, Senior Account Executive

Megan was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland and became a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a BSBA degree focused in public relations, communications and sports marketing. To get her fashion fix, Megan wrote for various editorial outlets before graduating and landing her first job in the big apple. She is a strong advocate that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, and is thrilled to take the next step in her career alongside the New York based Red Light PR team!

Gina Mazzone – Showroom Coordinator NY

A born and raised Jersey girl, Gina always knew she was meant for something bigger than her 2.5 mile long town. With dreams of New York City and the fashion industry, she ventured north to attend William Paterson University. During her 3.5 years of college she acquired multiple skills and internships, one with a startup fashion designer which allotted the opportunity to get her foot in the door. After learning the ins and outs of in-house fashion PR, Gina was ready for a change and sought out an internship with Red Light PR during her final semester of college. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and after 5 months of interning with RLPR, Gina was brought on to the team as NY Showroom Coordinator. After years of hard work and dedication, Gina has achieved her dream job and is thrilled to be a part of such an incredible company.

Los Angeles

Alexis Newman, Fashion Director

With several years of experience in the public relations industry, Alexis Newman has established herself as a leader in the company and field. Her inspiration was ignited at a young age by her parents antique and jewelry business, and it came as no surprise that she developed an eye for all things beautiful. After earning her B.A. degree in Communications (with a minor in Studio Art) from the University of Arizona, Alexis returned to her true home of Los Angeles. She has lead her team and produced huge events for fashion and accessory clients across the board. She has built out campaigns and has assisted brands in building from the bottom up. She is compassionate and dedicated to the firm and the brands she has had the chance to work with. Red Light PR allows her to match her love of the industry with her innate marketing sensibility and people skills.

Crystal Robles, Showroom Manager

A product of Los Angeles, Crystal’s love for fashion and business has always been instinctive. Crystal’s success efforts all began at a young age when she attained her cosmetology license while enrolled in high school. Her enthusiasm for fashion led her to attend California State University of Los Angeles where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus in PR, and a minor in Business. Her background in both business and public relations led her to Red Light PR in the beginning of 2011. Crystal strives to conquer the business aspect of fashion and hopes to one day become a successful entrepreneur. In addition to business and fashion, Crystal’s interest include: hair styling, make-up artistry and on a good day, hiking.

Alexandria McGaughey, Account Executive

Alexandria’s fervor for fashion began at a young age while watching her mother effortlessly style herself to teach a class of pupils every day. From Chicago’s Southside to her family’s beloved Alma Mater, Howard University, it was in Washington, D.C. where her style and character evolved. At this time she took her passion for all things fashion and people, to earn a B.A. in Public Relations while attaining a minor in Fashion Merchandising. With roots deep in the East coast, Alexandria was hungry for more. In June of 2011 she uprooted and left her second home in D.C. and headed West – Los Angeles! In the same month she moved, Alexandria landed a dream internship at Red Light PR. During this time she realized that Red Light PR was somewhere she could call home and landed a coveted role amongst the Red Light PR family. She continues to live everyday by Marilyn Monroe’s famous quote – “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” -  and that, she will.

Jennifer Lopez, Assistant Fashion Director

Jennifer began her undergrad career at the University of California, Santa Cruz. It was not long before the Hollywood native realized her heart remained in Southern California. She quickly transferred back into the city where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising from California State University, Los Angeles. Jennifer was first introduced to Fashion PR through various internships in the field and instantly knew it was where she needed to be. Jennifer began her internship at Red Light PR just a few months shy of graduation, her passion for the field demonstrated that she had found a home. She is excited to be working in the Women’s Fashion division at Red Light and looks forward to producing great results for her clients. After hours, Jennifer can be found strolling through local flea markets and vintage boutiques, planning a vacation, or simply relaxing with friends and family.

Marly Kos, Account Executive

Born and raised right outside of New York City, Marly spent her childhood window shopping 5th Avenue department stores knowing one day she would use her drive and creative personality to bridge her two loves, business and fashion. As her passion grew, she made the move to California to attend the University of San Francisco where she majored in Media Studies and embraced San Francisco’s iconic street style. While in college, Marly became savvy to chic boutiques and endless one-of-a-kind finds that make up her unique closet. After graduating, she once again packed her bags and made the move to Los Angeles where she became part of the Red Light PR team. When not working, you can find her rummaging through a sale rack, front row at a music festival, or dining out with friends.

Betsy Polan – Account Executive

Ever since childhood, Betsy has had a fascination with clothes and accessories. Her mother knew from the start that her hobby of changing outfits 100 times a day would lead to a fashion oriented career. Betsy earned her BA at the University of San Diego where she majored in Communications, with a focus in Public Relations. After interning at Red Light PR in the Summer of 2012, Betsy knew that fashion PR was the right path for her and found a home with the team at RLPR in early 2013. When Betsy is not working, you can find her bargain hunting, hanging with friends, and enjoying the city of Los Angeles.
